KCCA Football Club will face the reigning CAF Super Cup winners and Champions League defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns in the first round of the competition.

KCCA progressed (on away goals rule) after a 2-2 aggregate score with Angola champions, CD Primeiro de Agosto.

Like he did during the first leg, veteran striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma turned back the clock with the away goal for the reigning Ugandan league champions.

KCCA travels to South Africa for the first leg on the weekend of 10th-12th March, 2017 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria City before the return leg a week later in Kampala.

The two games will see Uganda Cranes’ first choice goalie Dennis Onyango up against a club from his native country.

On Saturday, Onyango kept a clean sheet during Mamelodi Sundowns’ 1-0 victory over DR Congo side TP Mazembe in the CAF Super Cup match played in South Africa.
