The St George versus Cote D’Or match of the return leg in the CAF Champions League was abandoned in the 55th minute due to a flooded Hawassa stadium.

The home side was leading 3-0 by the time of the abandonment after the ball could not move easily because of the waterlogged pitch afetr heavy rains.

According to the match commissioner, the game will be completed on Monday morning at the same stadium from the 56th minute.

St George won the first leg 2-0 in Seychelles last week.

Uganda Cranes’ goalkeeper Robert Odongkara started between the goal posts for St George.
