Karim Nedved, Ahmed Hamdy and Mostafa Mohamed scored for a ten man Egypt U-20 team against Kenya U-20 in a warm-up game for the U-20 African Cup of Nations.

Egypt was pooled in Group A alongside hosts Zambia, Mali, and Guinea, with the top two teams advance to the semi-finals and qualify for the 2017 U-20 World Cup in South Korea.

Inside the opening 20 minutes, Petrojet’s Ahmed Mostafa won a penalty, which was scored by Karim Nedved.

Al Ahly’s Ahmed Hamdy doubled Egypt’s lead on the half hour mark, before Zamalek loanee Mostafa Mohamed scored Egypt’s third goal of the game, ending the first-half 3-0.

Ovellah Ochieng scored in the 50th and 84th minutes as Kenya tried to mount a come back.

Ahmed Mostafa was red carded for a second bookable offence.

Egypt will kick-off their U-20 AFCON campaign on the 26th of February, against Mali then will face Guinea and Zambia on March 1 and March 4 respectively.

The tournament will be held in Zambia from February 26th  to March 12th 2017.
