The FUFA Big League returns with four games scheduled for Thursday, three of which are in the Rwenzori Group and one in Elgon Group.

Mbarara based club, Nyamityobora travels to Kampala where they are set to face fast fading Baza Holdings at the Kawempe Muslim Play ground.

Nyamityobora is playing catch up to runaway leaders, Masavu and will target nothing but maximum points in the game.

Free passing Synergy, arguably the most entertaining side in the entire Big League will take on Kireka United at the Namboole Outside training ground.

Synergy, under Simon Peter Mugerwa as coach still has hopes for a playoff slot as they battle with Mbarara City and Nyamityobora.

Mugerwa tags Thursday’s match as a very important fixture in the campaign;

We respect all matches but the one on Thursday means a lot to our campaign.

We shall take it with seriousness as we target maximum points.

In the other Rwenzori group game, Hope Doves entertain Entebbe at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium in Kabowa, on the outskirts of Kampala.

Hope Doves players enter the field of play prior to their home game against Kataka at Wankulukuku in a previous game

In the only Elgon Group game that will be played, Artland-Kamuli Park hosts Lira’s Sporting United at the Kamuli town council playground.

This term, Sporting United has blown hot and cold with the form that witnessed this Lira side qualify for the Big League playoff last season fast evaporating.

After Thursday’s games, the next round of games will come on Saturday and Sunday.

Three clubs shall be promoted to the Uganda Premier League.
