Four-time National Basketball League champions KCCA Leopards have parted ways with head coach Timothy Odeke.

“It’s the truth,” Odeke told Kawowo Sports when asked about quitting as KCCA coach. “As of yesterday, I ceased being coach of KCCA Leopards,” he added.

Odeke, who led Leopards to their second appearance at the FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Women in 2015 is grateful for the time at the club and says they parted in good faith.

“I am thankful to them for the time and opportunity. We parted in good faith,” he said

KCCA Leopards have lost back-to-back finals to a relatively inexperienced UCU Lady Canons including last year’s.

Robert Mugabe, who coaches KCCA men’s side, is seen as the obvious replacement of Odeke.

Franklin Kaweru is the Editor in Chief of Kawowo Sports. He is an ardent basketball enthusiast.
