Kuku Ranjit feels the previous rally misfortunes have made him tougher and more aggressive as he debuts in the Gorillas in the Mist Rally due 3rd-5th March in Kabale.

Ranjit finished eighth overall in the season opening round in Mbarara last month despite taking the lead on day one.

He has now focused on turning that eighth place finish into a podium.

“I honestly need the title this year. The weather in Mbarara somehow messed our plans but we still have chances to get back.”

“We are going to be more focused in Kabale. I have heard that the routes are hilly, tight with so many bends. But I am not worried as my focus will be on getting a podium,” he told Kawowo Sports.

Ranjit however knows the competition that comes with desiring a podium.

“I know over eight drivers are looking at a Kabale podium. But that is not a problem because it makes the competition interesting. I also don’t want to have an easy race.”

“All I know our car is prepared for the battle and trust me, if it behaves throughout the event, we consider ourselves in a good position,” he added.

Musa Nsubuga will call the notes in their Mitsubishi Evo X.
