- Bisaso is 6th coach to be sacked under Misagga’s tenure as club president.
- He has left the club second on the UPL log with a point behind KCCA
Sacked SC Villa Coach Shafik Bisaso was left disappointed by the club’s decision to terminate his contract but says he is proud of his works at the club.
Bisaso, who replaced his boss then, Deo Sserwadda was relieved of his duties on Thursday, five days after the club drew 2-2 with Lweza despite taking a two-goal lead.
“It’s disappointing but that’s the nature of our job,” said Bisaso. “I would like to thank the SC Villa management for having given me an opportunity to work with the most successful club in the country,” he added.
I am proud of the work i have done and i believe i have left the club in a better place from which a new coach can move them forward.
The former Proline tactician also thanked the playing staff at the club insisting he will miss working with them but wished them all the best.
I would like to thank the players for a wonderful relationship and hard work you put in everyday; i will miss working with you but wish all of you well.
He leaves the 16-time record champions second on the log with 34 points, one adrift of leaders KCCA who still carry a two game advantage.
But the gaffer believes with or without him, the club has the ability to win the championship this season.
They can still win the title if they don’t deviate from the approach. And my message to them has been clear, don’t give up the dream.
In the aftermath of the draw with Lweza, a match SC Villa had to win or Bisaso lose his job, the fans were in his support insisting he deserves time to make the Jogoos formidable and he thanked them for the unwavering support even results weren’t as good.
Lastly the villa fans for your unwavering support and belief in me, I will never forget you. For the media, for you our work for the beautiful game continues but thank you too.
