Heathens Rugby club are the champions of the national rugby premiership.

They achieved the positive feat following a comprehensive 27-16 victory at the hands of Rhinos at the Kyadondo Rugby grounds in Kampala on Saturday.
Alex Mubiru master minded Heathens’ victory with a man of the performance in a game Lawrence Ssebuliba, Romano Ogwal and Vincent Mose had the day’s tries.

The victory put Heathens on 67 points, 11 adrift of second placed Pirates (56), with the final bend of the season coming up in the next weeks.
Perennial arch-rivals Kobs, who lost 18-12 to Pirates on Saturday are third with 46 points.
Marvin Odongo, Brian Kasozi got the valuable tries with successful conversions for Pirates as Conrad Wanyama had a perfectly taken penalty kick.
Wanyama continued his season’s outstanding performance as an individual and for the entire team with yet another man of the match performance.
With Gulu Elephants already relegated after they failed to honour a maximum of three games, Impis (3), Rams (10) and Warriors (21) could fail in the relegation drop zone.
