FUFA Big League: Mbarara City 4-0 Masavu

Mbarara City Football Club closed gap on the Rwenzori Group leaders, Masavu with a 4-0 victory at the Kakyeeka Stadium in a FUFA Big League match played on Sunday evening.
Two first half strikes from Bebe Ssegujja and Brian Ahebwa gave home side a two goal cushion after the opening 45 minutes of the well attended game.
Ahebwa returned to goal scoring business with his second on the day, the third for the team on a red letter evening at office after 50 minutes before capping the ice on the already baked cake to complete a hat-trick 10 minutes to full time.
Richard Makumbi’s coached Mbarara City now close gap on Masavu after the comprehensive win.
They have now narrowed the gap to eight points with a game in hand.
It was Masavu’s heaviest defeat and the second loss of the campaign following the 1-0 first round slip to Sun City in Kasese last year.
Only three clubs shall be promoted to the top flight league when the Big League climaxes in May 2017.
