2012 Olympic marathon champion Stephen Kiprotich has revealed he really wants to win the 2017 Kampala World Cross Country Championships on March 26th.
Kiprotich shocked the globe in London – crossing the finish first – and he wants to replicate the same at home.

“Personally, I am very excited and happy that the global event will be happening at home,” Kiprotich said. “Having unsuccessfully competed in cross country before, I am targeting a win this time round.”
Kiprotich last competed in the World Cross Country Championships in 2011, when he finished sixth.
Kampala will be the fourth African city in the history of the IAAF World Cross Championships to host the tournament after Guiyang of China passed the baton in 2015.
