Kirinya-Jinja SSS secured their second win of the season with a convincing 2-0 victory over The Saints on Tuesday at Kakindu Stadium.

Bashir Mutanda and George Ssenkaaba -signed from The Saints in January- scored as the league debutants coasted to a comfortable victory at their new home ground.

The hosts who prior the game had only one win to their name made their intentions clear at the start of the match, and were soon rewarded in the 4th minute when Mutanda converted a penalty after captain Goerge Kasonko was fouled.

The visitors were well off the pace on a Tuesday evening and Kirinya would have been out of sight in the first half with better finishing.

Their second goal arrived in 89th minute when Ssenkaba converted the second penalty of the day.

Ssenkaba’s goal against his former side made it three goals for him in as many games.

Kirinya who are now 14th in the league with 16 points remain glued in the bottom three but victory moves them to within one place and a point of safety.

The loss didn’t alter The Saints’ Position in the league as they remain eleventh with 21 points
