
URA Football Club bound coach, Ibrahim Kirya officially bid farewell to club fans on Tuesday.
It was at half time of the Lweza versus URA match at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku that Kirya who did no sit on the team bench moved closer to the section of club fans in the stadium.
He even managed to handshake with some of the fans who were yearning to say an official say good bye on the sunny evening.
Majority chorused his name heartily as others clapped when he got closer to them during half time of Lweza’s 2-0 defeat to URA.
It has been a great moments to serve at Lweza Football Club. There is always a way forward in life.
When URA approached me, I shared the view with the club director (Ahmed Ddamulira) who was willing to let me move on a mutual consent.
Kirya, who watched the entire match in the stands expressed the willingness and urge to join URA and work with the existing crop of players at his disposal and administrators.
I am excited to join URA. I am more than willing to work with the team of players and technical staff that is currently at the club.
He is set to be officially handed over the tools of instrument during a special function at URA headquarters in Nakawa on Wednesday afternoon.
Kirya will replace Kefa Kisala who had been URA head coach since December 2015.
