Heathens have already won the national premiership title and may not have a lot to lose when the face Pirates at Legends Friday evening.
Muhammad Athiyo’s charges confirmed league triumph with a 27-16 win over Rhinos last Saturday.
But, while they await their winners’ medals, Heathens have to get the remaining games on their fixture out of the way.
They comprehensive win over Rhinos at the Kyadondo Rugby grounds ensured Heathens remain unbeaten thus far and it is on their mind to end the season without defeat.
Lawrence Ssebuliba, Romano Ogwal and Vincent Mose all crossed the white chalk in the win last Saturday and will still be key for the Kyadondo side against a Pirates side that has been a thorn in every team’s flesh this season.
Pirates go into the game with confidence after ousting Kobs 18-12 last Saturday.
Captain Marvin Odongo and young winger Baron Kasozi scored the tries as the youthful side got the better of last year’s winners.
Scrumhalf Conrad Wanyama continued his season’s outstanding performance with his boot pushing second placed Pirates against an out-of-sorts Kobs.
For Bobby Musinguzi’s side, second place is what they look to hold onto in the last three rounds of games.
