The Gorillas in the Mist Rally is set for flag off on Saturday in Kabale.
The crew of Hassan Alwi and Enoch Olinga will lead over 25 crews as they go first off the ramp this weekend.
The IUEA crew is already anxiously waiting to take on the challenge.
“Well, opening the road comes with some challenges, but we shall try to focus on the road and do our thing.
“Kabale Rally was one of our best events last year and the fact that we got some experience opening the pearl rally roads, so we see less challenges tomorrow,” says Olinga, Alwi’s co-driver.
Championship leader Omar Mayanja will go second followed by Ronald Sebuguzi while Duncan Mubiru will go fourth on the road.
Crews will cover nine stages on Saturday; a total distance of 118.14kilometres.
Four stages will be covered on Sunday; the final day with 86.48kilometres.
