- The Saints 0-1 KCCA

Geoffrey Sserunkuma scored the only goal of the game as KCCA edged The Saints 1-0 to re-open a four point gap at the summit.
The league leading scorer, now with 12 goals in the campaign, easily tapped home off Robert Ssentongo assist to earn the Kasasiro their 13th league win overall and the 4th away from their fortress, Lugogo.
Coach Mike Mutebi made changes from the starting eleven against Onduparaka with Charles Lukwago, Brian Majwega and Isaac Kirabira starting ahead of Benjamin Ochan, Allan Okello and Ivan Ntege.
It was a cagey first half with both teams failing to break the deadlock although Lukwago made a couple of saves to deny the hosts.
Vincent Kayizzi’s introduction for Paul Mucureezi at the start of the second half breathed a new lease of life into the visitors’ attack and it yielded fruits when Sserunkuma made a good connection on Ssentongo pass.
There was no change to the score line until the final whistle as KCCA won their 3rd game on the trot in the second round and kept a third clean sheet in succession as well.
With 41 points after 18 games, KCCA lead the log by four points over second placed SC Villa who face off with Proline at Lugogo on Saturday while Moses Basena’s Saints remain 11th on the 16-team log with 21 points after 19 games.
