Leading golf professionals Fred Wanzala, Denis Anguyo, Deo Akope and Phillip Kasozi have already confirmed to grace the third round of the Golf Challenge at the Par 71 Entebbe Golf Club this Saturday.

The Entebbe crop of professionals will see Robert Oluba, Vincent ‘Aalari’ Byamukama, Peter Ssendawula, club pro Dickson Lagoro, Henry Lujja, Simon Odong and the well rested Gerald Ayella join the others in the competition.

Entebbe Club Vice President, Oscar Semawere confirmed the development in a media release on Tuesday;

This is the first of its kind for the pros that will be at this tourney, as they will be playing match play for the grand prize of Ug.shs12M.

This tournament will keep the pros busy as they wait for the Uganda Open and other tournaments.

The professionals will join the 16 successful players still left in the race.

The winners and losers of the day will be soothed with an all-white themed celebration at the 19th hole to counter with the last theme on the previous series – oldies.

Diageo Reserve Luxury manager Annette Nakiyaga, for obvious reasons predicts a great tournament.

We can’t thank the Entebbe Club and its members enough for all the tee-off memories and moments registered thus far in this tourney.

We look forward to the great tee offs on the turf and the celebration at the 19th hole

The golf tourney is a continuation of the five-month long Challenge that will climax in May this year.

The grand prize that awaits the winner of the challenge is a once-in-a-lifetime all-expenses paid trip  to watch The Open at the Royal Birkdale in Southport, England.
