Kirinya-Jinja S.S’ January 2017 recruit, Isaac Ntege has praised the spirit of commitment from his teammates but in the same vein called for more determination as the debutants continue with the desperate fight against relegation.

Ntege, formerly at KCCA and The Saints Football Club has been a complete revelation for Abbey Bogere’s charges since his January switch.

In some of the matches he has featured in for Kirinya-Jinja S.S, Ntege’s robustness, swift ball passing vis- a-vis fast reaction and enviable box-to-box work ethic has won him more admirers in Jinja.

He believes the side has good chances of surviving the axe;

We need to work hard and as a complete unit. There is a big chance of survival but only if we win the remaining matches.

Christened as ‘the Students’, Kirinya-Jinja S.S has virtually fought tooth and nail to improve their performance home and away especially in the second stanza of the season.

Kirinya-Jinja S.S are currently 14th, just above two other Jinja entities JMC and BUL with 10 games to the climax of the season.

Kirinya-Jinja S.S and BUL who played to a goal-less draw in the Jinja derby on Tuesday both have fetched 17 points.

JMC remains the only win-less side in the entire league thus far as they have only managed 8 points.

In their next league engagement, Kirinya-Jinja S.S will host Express at their Kakindu Stadium fortress.
