Uganda National Men’s Basketball team, the Silverbacks will start their bid to return to AfroBasket against Somalia on Monday, March 13.

The Silverbacks were drawn in Group B alongside Somalia and Burundi at the Zonal qualifiers tournament that tips-off later today.

After the Somalia game, Uganda will have a day off and return to action on Wednesday against Burundi in a bid to advance to the semifinals where the top teams from the group will cross with the top two of Group A that has hosts Egypt, South Sudan, Kenya and Rwanda.

Uganda have win both and top their group to avoid hosts Egypt (who are odds on to top Group A) at the semifinals to have a real chance of making the finals and return to the continental showpiece in Congo Brazaville come August.

The semifinals will be played on Friday and the tournament will climax on Saturday.
