2013 Africa Rally Champion Jassy Singh will be looking to score his first finish in Safari Rally.

He is now more keen on turning his 2013 DNF into a podium.

“We know Kenya is a tough event and the competition is extremely stiff but we shall aim for the top positions especially a podium.

“Beyond that, we shall be happy with at least a top five finish,” said Singh.

As an African Rally Championship contender, Singh admits that it is the Safari competition that has tempted him to cross to Kenya than ARC contention.

“We are not likely to do the whole ARC. We shall do a few events, but we decided to take part in the Safari because of the level of competition out there.”

“The Safari Rally is definitely one of the toughest rallies in the championship and it’s a new challenge for our team.”

Singh will be navigated by Sajid Khan in a Subaru Impreza N14.

Singh will team up with young brother Muna Singh along with the Gomes brothers; Leroy and Kleevan Gomes as they battle for ARC points for Zambia.

“The new rule for ARC will make the battle more interesting for us, so many have registered to score ARC points calling for tight battle. I do hope half of the registered crews take on all the ARC events,” said Jassy
