Friendly Match: Masavu 9-1 Entebbe Parents S.S

Days after suffering a 7-3 loss at the hands of Buddo S.S, current FUFA Big League side and Rwenzori Group leaders, Masavu Football Club has redeemed self.

The Entebbe-based club humiliated Entebbe Parents Secondary School 9-1 during a friendly match played at Katabi Gombolola playground on Thursday.

Half time of the one sided encounter ended 4-0 in favour of Allan Kabonge’s side.

Joseph ‘Mwenda’ Nkabirwa scored a brace in the match.

The other scorers were Rashid ‘Katoito’ Kato, Ddumba Sadala, Sadi Kibirango, Robert Sentongo Junior, Kenneth Tumusiime, Pele Best and the team captain Henry Kiwanuka.

After the game, coach Kabonge told Kawowo Sports that the match was a great dress rehearsal for his side ahead of his team’s next matches in the FUFA Big League.

It is good we have won again and won convincingly.

This victory gives me courage ahead of our immediate Big League match with Hope Doves this Sunday at Wankulukuku

Meanwhile, another Big League side Maroons, leaders of the Elgon Group lost 2-0 to KCCA on astro turf of the Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo on Thursday.

Joseph Ochaya headed home the opener 20 minutes to full time before Muzamiru Mutyaba expertly curled home the second 10 minutes later.

The FUFA Big League has come to its final bend with clubs desperately fighting for direct promotion, others to jump into the playoff slots and some eager to avoid the drop zone.

The Big League will resume on Sunday, 19th March 2017 with a series of matches.
