Three Africa Rally Champions, Don Smith (2016), Jaspreet Chatthe (2015) and Jassy Singh (2013) will join with other ARC hopefuls as they battle for 2017 ARC points.
The Safari Rally, the second round of ARC, will be flagged off tomorrow at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in the capital Nairobi.
Unlike in previous years when ARC was between less than three crews, Safari Rally will have more than ten crews from four countries competing in one event.
The host country Kenya will field six (6) crews, Uganda five (5), Zambia four (4) and Burundi two (2).
All crews will be targeting to take the ARC lead.
Breathtaking action is anticipated to take course this weekend considering the new ARC scoring rule that requires crews to finish in top ten to score points.
The ARC contenders will now compete against the rest of the crews for the Safari Rally top positions.
The crews will compete over nine stages covering a total distance of 201.54kilometres.
