KCCA F.C goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan has said the desire to make history and become the first Ugandan side to reach the CAF Champions League group stages will drive them against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Ochan believes they have the ability to knock out Masandawana and be part of history when the two sides meet in the return leg on Saturday afternoon at Phillip Omondi stadium.

“We know the challenge ahead of us, because we are facing the defending champions and they (Sundowns) are without a doubt a good team,” he told the club website.

“As players, we want to be part of history as the first Ugandan club to reach the group stages and we are confident we can achieve the feat,” the well-travelled rear guard added.

The Ugandan league champions need to register a 1-0 win to achieve the dream and Ochan admits the pressure is on them.

“The pressure is on us because the only way we can go through is by winning and that calls for a good performance. We need to make sure we score goals but equally keep them at bay.”
