KCCA FC captain, Denis Okot Oola has challenged the local media to always report from a patriotic angle especially when it comes to continental platforms.

Okot was addressing the media at the Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo, Kampala on Friday during the official press conference.

Please members of the media, I always appeal to you to always support your own than discouraging us.

It gives us morale before we head to the field of play

Okot’s sentiments were also stamped home by the KCCA F.C manager, Mike Mutebi.

“Some times I wonder why journalists pose for selfies with visitors than supporting their own?” Mutebi pondered, much to the amusement of reporters.

Rallies fans:

Okot has rallied the fans to storm Lugogo in big numbers and support the home team.

We are confident of what we shall do. I therefore call upon all the fans to come and support the team at all times.

Not under pressure:

Okot notes that the team is never under any sort of pressure ahead of the return leg despite the fact they are playing the African champions.

KCCA Football Club is not under any sort of pressure.

We have left the pressure to the fans.

We have a home record to preserve and therefore we shall live to play to our best throughout the game.

KCCA lost 2-1 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria during the first leg.

A 1-0 result for KCCA will see the ‘Kasasiro lads’ progress to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
