Allan Okello!!!

The teenager, 17, is a special talent who entered the history books in the CAF Champions League as one of the youngest players to have played in the prestigious tournament when he was introduced at the Luca Moripe Stadium.

With two minutes left on the clock, aging striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma paved way for a budding Okello moments after the former had scored a precious away goal for KCCA.

Okello is ready to enjoy some playing time before the home fans at the Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo.

Addressing the media on Friday in the club’s pre-match press conference, a confident Okello expressed readiness to play in the return leg on Saturday.

Flanked by manager Mike Mutebi, goalie Benjamin Ochan and team skipper Denis Okot Oola, Okello told the media that he will give 100 percent in the match if fielded;

I love challenges. I am longing for playing time once again and I thank my manager, Mike Mutebi and teammates for believing in me since I started playing at the club.

Okello has risen through the ranks from the famous Airtel Rising Stars U-17 programme through the Copa Coca Cola schools’ tournament where he has won the tournament with Kibuli S.S and named the Most Valuable Player.

Since his well taken hat-trick against Onduparaka in the Uganda Premier League, he officially announced his grand arrival to the big stage

His sweet left foot and fine passing philosophy has always left many awed, surprisingly even those on the opposition.

The Destiny Football Academy (based in Lira District, Northern Uganda) product eyes more continued performances for the club domestically with the prime target of playing for the national team.

I will keep working hard both individually and team training because I want to maintain my form, so that I am selected.

Okello best thrives as a roving midfielder, attacker and sometimes he dances off the left flank to penetrate the opposition backline with the swift dribbles as he aims for goal with that trade mark venomous shot off the seemingly pencil -thin small legs.

KCCA Football Club needs a 1-0 goal result to advance to the lucrative group stage of the CAF Champions League where each of the successful clubs gets at least $550,000.
