Mamelodi Sundowns goal hero against KCCA, Anthony Laffor has acknowledged the trust the technical team bestowed upon him prior to his introduction in the game.

I am happy to have been trusted to make the difference. Coach told me that I must get in the box and fight.

Laffor was Sundowns’ second change of the game when he came on for Anele Ngconga at the start of the second half.

Earlier, the visitors had suffered a shock in the opening 10 minutes when defender Wayne Arendse limped out for Ivorian Soumahoro Bangaly, one of the scorers in the first leg.

He was well stationed to beat Habibu Kavuma before firing into the roof of the net past goal Benjamin Ochan as Sundowns qualified 3-2 on aggregate.

KCCA Football Club took a 31st minute lead through striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma following a great cross from the left flank by Brian Majwega.
