- He crashed Dutchman Gino De Fonseca after 1 minute and 20 seconds.
Ugandan heavy weight professional boxer Willy ‘Ring Tiger’ Kyakonyi had little respect for the Netherlands’ second seeded boxer Gino De Fonseca in Sulla, Netherlands.
The Ugandan pugilist needed just one minute and 20 seconds of the opening round to knock out the Dutch to register his 4th successive professional victory since turning pro last year.
This was during one of the eagerly awaited for World Boxing Series bout held in the Netherlands.
He is currently coached by Dutch international Webber
His Ugandan based coach Zebrah ‘Mando’ Ssenyange is optimistic the performance will improve.
I am so proud of Kyakonyi.
He is a typical ring tiger who not only attacks endlessly during a bout but also defends with caution.
We expect a lot more better things (achievements) from him because he is ambitious, ready and willing to learn.
Since turning pro, Kyakonyi has won all the four fights engaged in; two of these are by knock outs, and the other on points.
He has now sent to canvas four boxers in convincing fashion and style – Badru Zziwa, Saidi Thako, Yassin Kakungulu and and lately Gino De Fonseca.
He will return to the ring in August 2017.
