University Football League: UCU 1-1 KIU
Uganda Christian University (UCU) and Kampala International University (KIU) played out a one-all draw as the 2017 season kicked off on Wednesday.
Isaac Odeke gave the visitors the lead before Muzayifa Barigye cancelled the advantage as the two sides worked for a point from the match played at UCU main campus.
KIU head coach Jeff Akabwai was happy for the point earned away.
“We have started with a draw which is not bad enough. It was a bright start,” Akabwai, a former player and student at the Kansanga-based University noted.
