A bulk of players from KCCA FC and Vipers SC have been selected on Uganda Cranes 23-man squad to face the French Military team in a friendly match on Saturday at Nelson Mandela National Stadium.
Vipers has the lion’s share of players with 8. KCCA has 7, SC Villa (4), Proline (2) as URA and Onduparaka have one player each.
No Foreign based players:
All the players are locally based with no foreign based player on the team.
The 12 local-based players who traveled to Kenya for the international friendly have been all maintained with the foreign based players released.
FUFA Spokesman, Ahmed Hussein indicates that the FUFA Technical Team is planning ahead to prepare for the CHAN 2018 qualifiers.
The reason why local based players have been preferred for this match is to prepare the our team for the CHAN 2018 qualifiers.
Training Programme.
All the players will converge at Sky Hotel in Ntinda today for lunch before conducting one session at Namboole later in the day.
The match against the French Military team will mark the climax of the Uganda – France friendship week.
