While her incredible performance throughout the season could not culminate into a national championship, Claire Lamunu has scooped individual awards.
The forward won several Conference Player of the Week awards enroute to winning the Conference Player of the Year and WBCA NAIA National Player of the Year.
The NAIA National Office released the 2017 Division I Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams with Lamunu making the First Team of NAIA All-Tournament for the 37th Annual NAIA Women’s Basketball National Tournament.
This was a continuation of a long list of awards that have been given to Ugandan throughout her record breaking senior campaign.
She led the nation in offensive rebounds, second in points per game, total scoring, and total rebounds.
Lamunu’s rebounds per game was third most in the county to go along with fourth in steals, seventh in field goal percentage, eighth in defensive rebounding, and three other statistical categories in the top 28.
