Vipers SC forward Milton Karisa says he wants more national team caps after making his debut against Kenya on Thursday.

The ex-Bul FC forward came off the bench in the second half to set up fellow substitute and club teammate Moses Waiswa for the leveller against the Harambee Stars at Machakos.

“It felt nice to don the national team jersey,” he told Kawowo Sports. “I have always waited for the moment and thank God, it finally came,” he added.

The forward, whose two goals against South Africa’s Platinum Stars nearly booked Vipers a slot in the pre-group stages of the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup now says the challenge is to keep a place.

It’s a big challenge. Now I have to work hard to continue playing for the national team. It’s any footballer’s dream.

Asked what he was asked of by Coach Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic as he came, the smiling lad said.

The coach just told me, go there and enjoy the game. Don’t panic.

The youngster is expected to have another test of national team football when Uganda takes on the France Military Team at Namboole on Saturday.
