Dalumba International’s star player John Kokas Opejo scored six goals in their 7-2 victory against the International University of East Africa as the National Beach Soccer League resumed at Lido Beach.
Opejo, also a player at Uganda Premier League side, Bright Stars scored six times in their emphatic win.
Musa Mukiibi got the other goal for Dalumba as Justus Tukamuhebwa netted a brace for International University of East Africa.
This was one of the two matches in the Hurriken Group.
The second match between Nkumba Select and Talented did not end successfully with Nkumba leading 3-0 by the time Talented players abandoned the match in third quarter.
Moonson Group:
There were three games played in the Moonson Group.
Kabagala Rangers were 3-1 winners over Mengo Hospital. Elia Wadri, Derrick Kabega and Jonathan Isingoma’s own goal gave the Rangers a comfortable victory. Meanwhile, Alex Mugabi Bazibu got the consolation for Mengo Hospital.
Sulaiman Ochero’s hat-trick as well as a brace apiece from Swalleh Kiggundu and Emmanuel Kalyowa helped St Lawrence register a 7-2 massive victory over Kampala International University (KIU).
Stormers humiliated Real Galacticos 8-3 in one of the shocking results on the day. Ibrahim Mpengere grabbed a hat-trick, Muhammad Luyirika and George Okecho each scored a brace as Denis Sserukwaya’s own goal seal the misery for Real Galacticos.
Sserukwaya lifted himself to score a consolation as well as a brace from Dhino Ssali.
With the regular season nearing a climax, clubs are gearing for slots to push them in the playoff positions.
Nkumba Select is the reigning champion.
