Mamelodi Sundowns’ Premier Soccer League title ambitions have been given a major boost ahead of Saturday’s clash with Kaizer Chiefs.
The Brazilians go into the clash boosted by the return to fitness of two star players.
Goalkeeper Denis Onyango and attacking midfielder Khama Billiat, who had been nursing injuries that kept them out of action for some time, are back in training.
Club media officer Thulani Thuswa confirmed that both Billiat and Onyango are fit having recovered from their respective injuries.
He told SunSport: “The two-week Fifa break has done the players a power of good and it’s great news to have both Khama and Denis back.”
Thuswa also revealed that Ivorian, Yannick Zakri as well as Sibusiso Vilakazi are still nursing injuries and admitted the latter is a doubt for Saturday’s encounter.
“He (Vilakazi) looks very doubtful and is in a race against time to get fit for Chiefs. It’s a huge blow with so many players injured.”
