With a bare minimum of one point from a game, Simba Football Club is bound to be sent down the drain to the Regional League unless otherwise.

From the 17 games so far played in the Elgon group, Simba has earned 17 points.

They lie third from bottom as they visit the Lango Sports Ground in Lira to play an unpredictable side – Sporting United.

4-1 losers to Maroons on Thursday at the Luzira stadium, Sporting United does not intend to slip three days after.

The Lira based club is currently 6th with 25 points and maximum points will be chasing for a playoff slot with less than three games to the climax of the FUFA Big League regular season.

In the Rwenzori Group, Hope Doves will take on Kireka United at Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium during the other Saturday fixture.

Kireka United is fresh from their hard fought 3-2 victory over Mbarara City at the Namboole outside playground as did Hope Doves with a 2-1 result against struggling Entebbe F.C.

Both clubs shall enter the field of play for merely pride at stake since they cannot get to the playoff bracket nor get relegated.

The mission at hand is to eye maximum points from the game to maintain the winning culture.

The top club from Elgon and Rwenzori Group each shall be promoted to the Uganda Premier League.

Masavu already attained their slot in the Rwenzori Group and Maroons are the on the verge of promotion in the Elgon group.

The other four clubs (two from either groups) shall be engaged in a promotional playoff.

Other Fixtures (Sunday, 2nd April 2017):

Sun City Vs Entebbe – Nyakasanga playground, Kasese

Bright Light Vs Artland Katale – Lira
