Wakiso Regional Copa qualifiers:

Kick off – Tuesday, 4th April 2017

At Kisubi (Kisubi Mapeera, SMACK & Seminary Grounds)

30 secondary schools shall vie for the available four slots as the Wakiso regional qualifiers get underway on Tuesday.

Four playing venues at the tranquil Kisubi area shall host the competitive qualifiers arguably tagged as the most epic in the entire country.

Power house schools as Standard High Zana, St Juliana, St Mary’s Kitende, Buddo S.S and London College Nansana – the favourites – are in different groups with assured chances of progressing to the quarter finals.

St Mary’s Kitende is pooled in group C alongside Royal College, Sacred Heart, Nsangi, Light High Sseguku and St Johns.

Hosts SMACK is housed in group D with Kisubi Mapeera, Richmond S.S, Buddo S.S, Victoria High and St Mary’s Katale.

Entebbe Zone champions, Boston High remain one of the outsiders likely to send shock waves.

Boston is grouped in group A alongside Namugongo S.S, London College Nansana, Rhiness, Bilal Islamic and Standard High School, Zana.

Hussein Mulawa, head coach at Boston High believes the home advantage will be key to his charges.

We shall utilize the home advantage to full use. We need to first qualify from the group before fighting for a slot at the semi-finals.

Four schools will progress to the finals to be hosted in Masaka.

Groups:

Group A: Namugogo S.S, Standard High School – Zzana, London College Nansana, Boston High, Rhiness, Bilal Islamic

Group B: God Cares, Namboole High, St Juliana, Namirembe Hill, Kitende S.S, Savanah S.S

Group C: Royal College, Sacred Heart, St Mary’s Kitende, Nsangi S.S, Light High Sseguku, St Johns

Group D: Kisubi Mapeera, Richmond S.S, Buddo S.S, Victoria High, St Mary’s Katale, St Mary’s College – Kisubi (SMACK)
