Safe water without question remains a basic humanity need.

It is upon this back ground that pastors in Entebbe Municipality under their umbrella organization Entebbe Pastors Fellowship (EPF) have allied to organize a marathon intended to raise money to ensure safe water.

The marathon is slated to take place on Good Friday with a theme “Jesus Alive Good Friday Marathon”.

The marathon is intended to provide safe water wells and springs for the less fortunate Entebbe residents who struggle to get access to safe and clean drinking water.

All Pastors in Entebbe Sub- district (Division ‘A’, Division ‘B’ and Katabi Town Council) will attend without fail and will run alongside their wives.

Mayor Vincent Kayanja DePaul will lead other runners in the Good Friday Marathon slated to take April 14, 2017. The start and finish point will be at the Mayor’s Garden and set off time is 7am.

Registration fees:

Adults will have to pay Shs10,000 and students Shs5000 for this noble cause.

Recently, Entebbe has had two marathons, the Katabi Marathon and the inaugural Entebbe Marathon.

David Isabirye is a senior staff writer for Kawowo Sports where he covers most of the major events.
