The inaugural women football knock out cup, the FUFA Women Cup, has reached the semifinal stage after the conclusion of quarterfinal games.

The first two set of games were played on Tuesday and completed on Wednesday

Janat Nakibuka headed home the lone strike on the day as Mutesa I Royal University defeated Kawempe Muslim in one of the two quarter finals played on Wednesday.

Sharon ‘Falcoa’ Achieng had the match winner at Katabi Gombolola playground in Entebbe when visiting Olila overcame Taggy High in the other game.

24 hours earlier, Gafford Ladies had edged the She Corporates 2-0 with Sophie Annick and Monica Namwase on target.

UCU Lady Cardinals were 3-2 winners over Western United in Mbarara.

The last four standing clubs shall be involved in the semifinal draw on Wednesday at FUFA House.

A total of 32 clubs (both in the top flight league and non league) took part in the inaugural championship whose final has been confirmed for Busia in May 2017.
