The 2017 FIM Africa Central Africa Motocross championship (CAC) returns to Uganda for the first round this Easter weekend at the Motorsports Arena, Busiika.

Team Uganda is expected to field over 25 riders as they initiate their title defence.

Maxime Van Pee, the team captain, is optimistic of a great performance from his team.

“We are all set for the race this weekend. Unlike before, we shall have strong representative in all classes, and that will work to our advantage.

“So with the team we have, I don’t say any reason why we cannot top this weekend’s race. I believe we are winning this,” says Van Pee.

Van Pee who won the MX1 title last year is equally eager to start off well in the category.

“I am now fit to race after fully recovering from a bout of malaria. I have so far done some practice and everything looks fine for me to take on the battle,” he said.
