Algeria have appointed Spanish tactician Lucas Alcaraz as their new coach.
This follows the departure of Georges Leekens who resigned following the team’s early exit from the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Desert Foxes were one of the pre-tournament favourites but were knocked out of the finals after failing to win a game in Gabon.

Leekens had been Algeria’s third coach in a year, following on from Milovan Rajevac and Christian Gourcuff but Alcatraz now takes the mantle with loads of expectations.
Alcatraz has just been sacked as coach of Granada, who are currently bottom of the Spanish La Liga.
He was sacked on Monday after a 3-1 home defeat by Valencia.
