Relegation bound JMC Hippos have failed to honour their fixture against Express FC.

The bottom placed side was due to visit the Red Eagles at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku on Tuesday April 18, 2017 but didn’t show up for the match with a walk over for the hosts the most likely outcome.

Reacting to the scenario, the league secretariat has revealed the verdict will be communicated.

M# 196:- Express FC Vs JMC Hippos FC – Wankulukuku Stadium; Fixture Not Played. JMC Hippos Team did not show up for the match. Verdict to be communicated later

Efforts to speak to the JMC Hippos chairman, Faisal Muhammad were futile as he didn’t reply our texts but Kawowo Sports understands that the club was aggrieved after the league organisers decided to award victory to Express in the reverse fixture through the boardroom after they had won the game 1-0.

The Hippos were found guilty of using players with provisional licenses for the game as they hadn’t acquired passports then.
