Goalkeeper Dennis Onyango’s colleagues return to action tonight at Loftus Versfeld Stadium as they host Ajax Cape Town.

The hosts come off two consecutive away 1-0 wins at Free State Stars and Super Sport United seeking progression with a perfect result again.

In the 32 games that the two sides have met, Sundowns have won less than 50% of the games, 15 games while Ajax have won 10, with seven drawn.

According to the club’s website;  “After a slump in which they went winless for five games, they have come back showing the stuff of which champions are made. They have shown in the past that when they hit winning form, they are difficult to beat.

“Coach Pitso Mosimane  is happy with the manner in which his side has fought back. He was happy, too, with the performance of Motjeka Madisha.”

Sundowns are fourth with 44 points with log leaders Cape Town City two points ahead. Chiefs and Wits are tied on 45 points with Wits ahead on goal difference.
