The regular season of the FUFA Big League will climax on Thursday and Friday this week.

There are 11 fixtures altogether over the two days with 6 coming on Thursday and 5 the next day.

Already promoted Masavu would wish to wind up the regular season in style when they host Water at their lake side Katabi Gombolola play ground in Entebbe.

Masavu’s head coach, Allan Kabonge desires to finish the colourful season with a home victory;

This will be a great gift to the home fans who have been cheering the side since match day one.

Masaka based club Synergy will lock horns with Mbarara City at the Masaka Recreational Stadium to determine who finishes second or third in the Rwenzori Group.

Kataka is away to Baza Holdings at the Kawempe Muslim S.S playground with the winner likely to survive the drop to the Regional League.

Charles Ayiekho’s Nyamityobora is home to Kasese-based Sun City at the barren and dry Nyamityobora playground in Mbarara.

Meanwhile, the last fixtures of the Elgon Group will be played on Friday.

Maroons Football Club, promoted on Tuesday after their 3-1 victory over Kyambogo will travel to Busia Fisheries at the Madibira playground.

It is an acid test for already relegated side Moroto United who have to make the long trip to Ndejje University in Luwero.

Kyambogo, the other confirmed relegated club from the Big League (Elgon Group) stands in Kira United’s way for a playoff slot.

If Kira United fails to get the maximum points, and Busia Fisheries defeats Maroons, then the Eastern Uganda club will make it to the playoffs.

In the other fixture, Artland-Katale hosts Simba at the Kamuli Park Municipal stadium, a game that Simba needs maximum points to survive being relegated.

Paidha Black Angels winds up the season with a home duel against Bright Light at the intimidating Bar Okoro Stadium away in Zombo district.

In Arua, Doves All Stars will be home to host Lira’s Sporting United at the Barifa playground.

The third side to join Maroons and Masavu shall be determined via a promotional playoff that gets underway with a semifinal format on 4th May 2017.

The finals of the play off will be played on 7th May 2017 at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

Also, the main final between Masavu (Rwenzori Group winners) and Maroons (Elgon Group leaders) to determine the champion of the 2016/17 FUFA Big League will be played on that same day.
