Somalia goalkeeping coach Moses ‘Ugoboss’ Oloya has in a special way congratulated all the Ugandan players whose respective clubs qualified for the group stage of the CAF club competitions.

Oloya, in an exclusive interview with Kawowo Sports, showered praise on goalkeepers in particular.

I want to appreciate the role of goalkeepers who hail from Uganda whose great service at their respective clubs has seen the teams progress to the group stages in the CAF Club competitions.

Robert Odongkara (St George in Ethiopia), El Merriekh’s Salim Jamal, Benjamin Ochan (KCCA) and Denis Onyango (Mamelodi Sundowns) are all smiling with their respective clubs having qualified to the lucrative CAF club group stages.

Oloya cites commitment and dedication from these players to see their clubs perform well.

Oloya, who has formerly coached at KCCA, Sports Club Victoria University, The Saints and recently Onduparaka in Uganda added;

In football, a goalkeeper matters a lot. These players are special as they have always offered something extra to see their clubs perform well.

Besides being extremely talented, these goalkeepers respect training and are committed to the noble cause.

Onyango, Odongkara and Jamal are in the CAF Champions League as Ochan is in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Meanwhile, Onyango’s Mamelodi Sundowns was drawn in the same group with Odongkara’s St George.
