Ahead of Soana’s Saturday clash against Onduparaka at Kavumba Recreational Ground, Patrick ‘Crespo’ Asiku is confident his team will bag all the three points.

Asiku, a second half substitute during Soana’s 2-0 loss to Vipers last week believes they are fully recovered from that loss and are in the right state of mind to return to winning ways while inflicting defeat on his home town club on Saturday.

“Training was good today, everyone is fit and fine mentally and ready for the game,” Asiku formerly at Bul said. “After that setback against Vipers, we badly need to win this game. They are a good side but I feel we are very motivated and we need this win more.”

With all their league defeats coming away from home, Onduparaka have proved awful travellers. While their last outing ended one-all against relegated side JMC, the Caterpillars’ five defeats have all come on their travels.

Asiku is well aware of their opponent’s poor form on the road and believes that form will let the side down tomorrow.

“They are a very good team when at home, but they have struggled away. They normally perform poorly in their away games, and I think they will find it very hard against us. Being a team from my home town, I wish them the best, but my employers want good results from me.”

Soana staged a spirited comeback early this month to beat Proline 3-2 in their last home game.
