The crew of Ronald Sebuguzi and Leon Ssenyange remarkably conquered the third round of the National rally championship event.

The V-Power sponsored crew consistently took the lead of the event from day one in Busiika to the final stage in Kayunga and posted the fastest time of 1hour, 24minutes, 3seconds to register their first win since January last year.

The win puts the crew on top of the NRC leader board with 250 points after three rounds.

“We came into this rally with some confidence. But it was great winning again. Our plan is to accumulate as many points this season.”

Christakis Fitidis and Eric Nzamwita had their grip on second place; finishing four minutes and two seconds behind winner Sebuguzi.

Fitidis now climbs to third position on NRC standings with 125 points.

Ambrose Byona and Derrick Lubambula sealed the podium places with the third fastest time of the event. It is the second career podium finish for the Hima sponsored crew.

Kepher Walubi and Fred Wampamba completed the top five positions in forth and fifth respectively.

They were also impressive performance from the crews of Kepher Walubi, Yusuf Bukenya and Yasin Nasser.

Fred Ssenkumba topped the 2WD category followed by Ismail Ortega and Gilberto Balondemu in third.

The Clubman Rally Championship (CRC) had Graham Nagasha in top followed by Musa Mulimira and Didas Matsiko.

The fourth round of NRC is scheduled for the May 26-28 in Fort Portal.
