Ronald Sebuguzi and Leon Ssenyange could not hide their excitement after winning the third round of National Rally Championship in Kayunga.

The Shell VPower sponsored crew seemed to have buried the memories of the past year.

Sebuguzi/Ssenyange dominated the FMU Challenge Rally from day one; winning the Super Special Stage to the final stage in Kayunga.

“We planned well for this rally. Everything worked according to plan. It is unfortunate for the other crews that could not complete the event.

“But we happy about the win. It’s our first since January last year.”

The win over the weekend also boosted their title hopes and now on top of the NRC leader board with 250 points; 90 points ahead of second placed Duncan Mubiru.

“It’s been our plan to get points in every rally. That is important from now on,” said Ssenyange.

With only four NRC rounds remaining, the crew will only need to finish in top five positions to walk away with a fourth NRC title.
