University Football League (Tuesday Result)

  • MUBS 3-0 St Lawrence University

Makerere University Business School (MUBS) staged a late show winning 3-0 over visiting St Lawrence in a University Football League match played on Tuesday at Nakawa.

Osman Miraje led the way for Charles Ayiekho coached side with the opening strike on the day through a penalty.

The penalty arose from a malicious foul in whic Brian Ssali who felled danger man Moses Kifumba to the ground in the forbidden goal area.

Three minutes after the half hour mark, Derrick Kyega then netted the second as the mandatory half time whistle went with the home side leading 2-0.

Second half substitute Lawrence Avule capped the icing on the already baked cake for the Nakawa based institution with the third and final strike on 68 minutes.

MUBS’ Benard Wamusi was rewarded with the Man of the Match accolade.

MUBS have now accumulated 7 points having beaten Kumi and drawn with Nkumba Universities in their other two matches played.

The league will take a break until May 2017.
