It will be a clash of egos on Friday when Treble Group leaders KCCA Soccer Academy lock horns with Hat-trick Group side Soana Junior Team in the 3rd edition climax of FUFA Juniors League.

The final showdown will be held on Friday May 5, 2017 at Kakindu Stadium, Jinja.

Inspired by Sadat Anaku, top scorer of the Juniors League with 27 goals, KCCA Soccer Academy heads to the game as favourites, having won the Treble Group with 67 points.

Anaku will this time round turn the guns to a Soana side who led the Hat-trick Group with 53 points.

Issa Ochama and Ivan Asaba are two other players that the KCCA young side will back on.

Team Soana eyes the splendid form of Hakim Ddamulira (19 goals) and Ivan Joel Okello (10 goals) for inspiration.

All the Ugamda Premier League clubs had a Junior side in this league as a requirement from the FUFA Club Licensing Committee.

FUFA Youth Development Officer Bashir  Mutyaba lauds the respective clubs for the cooperation, media for the coverage and FIFA who funded the project this season.

This league, unlike other football competitions had special rules. A bonus point was awarded to a team which won with a difference of two goals in a bid to encourage goal scoring.

“More goals have been scored this year because we awarded an extra point to a team which won with a difference of two goals,” explained Mutyaba.
