The midfielder, who has been on KCCA’s radar since December last year is expected to be announced by the Lugogo based club soon.
Impeccable sources reveal that the former Vipers star, skipper at Express since January when Mike Mutyaba announced retirement from the game has signed a three-year deal that will keep him at Lugogo for at least until 2020.
Saddam didn’t travel with the Red Eagles to Arua for the Friday Uganda Premier League tie against Onduparaka at the Green Light stadium and reportedly completed his medical on Thursday.
Uganda Cup semis
With Express and KCCA set to battle for a place in the finals of the Uganda Cup, Saddam is likely to miss out for either.
The transfer means the player will no longer belong to the Red Eagles but can’t feature for the Kasasiro in local competitions until the end of this 2016/17 campaign.
If all goes according to plan, the midfield gem will most likely make his debut in the CAF Confederation Cup against FUS Rabat on Saturday May 13.
The CAF player registration window opens for teams that reach the group stages and besides Saddam, KCCA have added Hassan Wasswa Dazo, a returnee from injury to the list of players for the continental competition.
