Maximum points for KCCA in their home duel against Kirinya-Jinja S.S will see Mike Mutebi’s charges  get close to the 12th Uganda Premier League title.

On 54 points from 26 games, KCCA is 5 points better of second placed SC Villa Jogoo and have played a game less.

Mike Mutebi who had traveled with the junior U-17 side to Jinja on Friday told the club website that the focus remains on defending the league title they won last season.

He also expects a tough match for the value of points to either sides;

Our focus from the time the season started was to defend the league title; it’s a long journey before we can achieve that, the reason we have to stay focused in every game we play.

They will be tough visitors, there is no question about that, they are trying to survive relegation, and one of the most disciplined sides defensively.

Against Kirinya Jinja S.S, a side that is in desperate fight against relegation, KCCA will still have to give 100 percent in the game.

During the first round, both sides played to a one all draw at Bugembe Stadium in Jinja in a game that was marred by suspect refereeing from William Oloya.

Goalkeeper Douglas Kisembo will keep his place in between the post as Charles Lukwago deputizes him meanwhile the first choice Benjamin Ochan continues with the recovery.

KCCA will miss three instrumental outfield players.

Midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba is still nursing a painful shoulder, Paul Mucureezi requires a late fitness test and youngster Allan Okello is traveling to Masaka with Kibuli S.S for the Copa school games.
