In football, they assert, never give up until the last whistle.

This is exactly the same philosophy that SC Villa Jogoo carries along to the Kavumba Recreational Stadium when they play mid-table side Soana on Saturday evening in the Uganda Premier League.

Second on the 16 team log with 49 points, 5 behind leaders KCCA, the Jogoos still have a slight mathematical chance of playing catch up to the run away leaders.

Having suffered a set back in the 2-2 home draw to Police last week, SC Villa can least afford for a slip lest they are doomed since KCCA still has one game advantage.

Prodigal son and club current top scorer Emmanuel Arnold Okwi will work to add to his season tally of 10 goals as he faces an organized Soana outfit.

Okwi will be expected to partner with on form Umar Kasumba as the likes of Abel Eturude, Farouk Musisi, AbdulMalick Vitalis Tabu and company offer the timely assistance.

Ambrose Kirya and defender Patrick Mbowa who limped out against Police remain big doubts for the game.

Soana will bank on the experience of Emmanuel Kalyowa, captain Francis Olaki, cheeky Allan Kayiwa and Frank Kalanda for the much needed magic.

Alex Isabirye’s side is currently 7th with 39 points from 26 games.
